Dinner!

So I tried my first lasagna the other night, it came out pretty good. I got the recipe from our AI overload ChatGPT. Here's the recipe!

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cans (28 ounces each) of crushed tomatoes
2 cans (6 ounces each) of tomato paste
1/2 cup of water
2 tablespoons of white sugar
1 tablespoon of dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon of fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
4 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
12 lasagna noodles
16 ounces of ricotta cheese
1 egg
3/4 pound of mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large pot, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, sugar, basil, fennel seeds, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of parsley. Simmer for about 1 hour.
Cook lasagna noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until done. Drain.
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and remaining parsley.
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a small amount of meat sauce on the bottom. Arrange 3 noodles over the sauce. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, and sprinkle 1/3 of mozzarella cheese on top. Repeat layering two more times.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
This recipe serves about 8 people and can be easily adjusted based on personal taste preferences. For example, you could use ground turkey instead of ground beef, add in mushrooms, or use a different type of cheese.
